Ecoflow Delta 1300 vs Jackery Explorer 1000
Choosing a portable power station isn’t an easy task. You certainly have to do a good research before you buy an expensive gadget like a battery station. Since I personally own a power station and have personally tested many more including Ecoflow Delta 1300 and Jackery Explorer, I am providing an in-depth comparison to help you make decision. The models being compared are EcoFlow Delta 1300 (1800W 1260Wh) and Jackery Explorer 1000 (1000W 1002Wh).
The exact models I am comparing in this article are as below. You can check them if they are the same models you are looking for.
What's in the Box?
First Impression
Jackery is very compact compared to Delta. The nice color combination makes it look cool. Also, it weighs around 22lbs, so it is easier to carry when compared to Ecoflow.
The number of ports and the power ratings is compared in the following table.
Jackery Explorer 1000 | EcoFlow Delta 1300
AC Power Outlets (110V) | 3 Ports 1000W each | 6 Ports 1800W each |
USB Ports | 2 Ports (1 Quick Charge 3.0) | 4 Ports 28W each |
USB C Ports | 2 Ports PD18W (5V 3A / 9V 2A / 12V 1.5A) | 2 Port 60W |
DC Car Port | 12V 10A | 13.6V 8A |
Solar/DC Input Port | 12V-30V (200W Max) | 65V 10A |
Digital Display | Yes | Yes |
AC On/Off Switch | Yes | Yes |
DC On/Off Switch | Yes | Yes |
Overload Protection | Yes | Yes |
As we can see, both of these power generators have similar ports but the number of ports is higher in Ecoflow.
Battery Capacity and Power
The battery capacity of Ecoflow is 1260Wh with a power capacity of 1800W which easily wins against Jackery which has a battery capacity of 1002Wh and a power capacity of 1000W.
Also, the surge capacity of EcoFlow is 3300W whereas Jackery is 2000W.
For those who aren’t familiar with Wh rating, let me give you an example.
Assume you have two gadgets, one is a 1000W drilling machine and another is a 200W TV.
With Ecoflow’s 1260Wh battery, you can power the 200W TV for almost 6 hours while the 1000W drilling machine lasts for about 60 minutes. Whereas Jackery’s 1002Wh can power your drilling machine for about 50mins and TV for about 5 hours.
*Based on efficiency, the above factor may vary. This is just a rough idea of battery capacity.
So we have a clear winner in terms of battery and power capacity.
Jackery Explorer 1000 | EcoFlow Delta 1300
Power | 1000W | 1800W |
Battery Capacity | 1002Wh | 1260Wh |
Surge | 2000W | 3300W |
Both the power station support more than one way to charge them. The following table highlights the difference.
Jackery Explorer 1000 | EcoFlow Delta 1300
AC Wall Outlet | ~7 Hours for a full charge | ~1.6 Hours for a full charge |
Solar Panel | 2x100W Panel (~8 Hours) | Supports 400W Panel |
Car | Yes (~14 Hours) | Yes |
EcoFlow is a clear winner. Ecoflow’s quick charge is too good to compare. Jackery never stands a chance here.
When we talk about the performance, we need to see what kind of devices the power station can drive and for how long. The following table gives you a rough comparison of EF Delta and Jackery Explorer in performance.
Appliance | Jackery Explorer 1000 | EcoFlow Delta 1300 |
Laptop (80W) | 12+ Times | 15+ Times |
LCD TV (150W) | 6 Hours | 9 Hours |
Smartphone (8W) | 100+ Times | 130+ Times |
Desktop Computer (200W) | 4.2 Hours | 6.5 Hours |
Ceiling Fan (52 inch) | 16 hours | 21 Hours |
Microwave Oven (1100W) | No | 60 Minutes |
Instant Pot Cooker (1000W) | 51 Minutes | 80 Minutes |
Corded Drilling Machine (600W) | 1.2 Hours | 2 Hours |
Washing Machine (900W) | 55 Minutes | 85 Minutes |
Blender (250W) | 3 Hours | 5 Hours |
Electric Clothes Dryer (1700W) | No | 40 Minutes |
Toaster (650W) | 70 Minutes | 2 Hours |
Electric Kettle (1300W) | No | 50 Minutes |
Portable Refrigerator(70W) | 12 Hours | 18 Hours |
Mini Vacuum Cleaner (250W) | 3.2 Hours | 5 Hours |
Surveillance/Wifi Camera (5W) | 7 Days | 10 Days |
Electric Saw (1400W) | No | 50 Minutes |
Welding Machine (2000W) | No | 45 Minutes |
Electric Grill (1600W) | No | 40 Minutes |
*Based on efficiency, the above factor may vary. This is just a rough idea of performance.
As you can see, both the power generators can drive almost every device except for power devices. Also, since the battery capacity of EcoFlow is more than Jackery, the devices would run for a longer time. Besides this both of them have a surge capacity, so you might be able to run a high power device for a very short amount of time.
Jackery Vs. EcoFlow: Which one to consider
Though both of these battery stations offer similar features, EcoFlow is the clear winner when it comes to power, battery, or performance. Its quick charge is too handy and can power more devices simultaneously. But if you are looking to save money then it is better to choose Jackery. If a price difference of around $350 doesn’t matter to you, EcoFlow is your go-to choice.
